Anatolian
Anatolian art flourished in modern-day Turkey throughout antiquity. The art of the rich land of Anatolia encompasses the productions of numerous empires: the Hittite (from the 18th to the 12th century B.C.), Assyrian (from the 19th to the 9th century B.C.) and the Akkadian empires (from the 24th to the 22nd century B.C.) in the Bronze Age, followed by the, Seleucid (from the 4th to the 1st century B.C.), and Seljuk empires (11th to the 12th century A.D.). In antiquity, Anatolian art was conveyed along trade routes from the near east to Greece and Rome, strongly influencing the art of those empires.
