With its long body, cylindrical snout and schematic face, this animal is an excellent example of a common Nuraghic type: the bull. Solid cast in bronze, the animal is covered in a beautiful green patina, the bull is shown striding forward. The gender of the animal is evident not only from his large curving horns, but from the prominent genitalia against the bulls stomach.

The Nuraghic civilization, which thrived on ancient Sardinia, produced a number of beautiful bronze figurines of men and animals.
